The Port Townsend Basketball Club has been organizing the famous Crush in the Slush basketball tournament since 2006. Held shortly after Christmas each year in the historic Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, Washington, Crush in the Slush has been the site of some of Washinton's most intense and memorable high school basketball games.

 

Who can forget 2008 when the South Kamloops BC team, led by future NBA player Kelly Olynyk, lost to the host Port Townsend boys in an overtime thriller? The Crush has been the scene of so many great and memorable games over the years.

 

Typically the Crush will host 14 high school teams (boys and girls) for 48 hours of playoff intensity at the intimate and historic Port Townsend High School gym. All-star teams and teams from as far away as Canada and Australia have participated in previous Crush in the Slush tournaments.
